So Long Spooky Season
This past weekend was Halloween!! Friday
night was a girls night! A group of friends and I went to two events on campus.
The first was called A Haunted Walk sponsored by the student planning committee
(SPC). This occurred out by the sand volleyball courts and we walked along the
green monsters with spooky stores shared along the way. It was a good event, I
would have loved to see it even more interactive but happy it was short as it
was cold and rainy. The second event was Haunted Hill Sponsored by a Fraternity
and History group on campus. It was a little spooky if I’m being honest. Friday
night was a great time!
On Saturday My boyfriend Zach and I
had a great time! We worked Admissions in the morning, then I went to the ONU
volleyball game (which ONU won) and then I took a nap. Zach was on call so he
stayed in his room for the afternoon. For Halloween, we dressed up as Mike and
Sully from Monsters Inc. For dinner, we met up with some friends at Tavern 101
and then it was time to carve our pumpkin. We knew we wanted to make an
ONU tribute so what better to do than the black swans!! It turned out pretty
cool. We finished watching the Ohio State game and it was a very good game.
Zach and I are going to continue the tradition of carving a pumpkin and watching
football. 😊
When looking at
social media during Halloween weekend, I stumbled upon an article from Travel
and Leisure on favorite candy per state. See the article here: https://www.travelandleisure.com/travel-news/halloween-candy-popularity-by-state-according-to-instacart
For Ohio it says
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. Here is my opinion on that. I do like Reese’s but it
isn’t my favorite. My top candies are Kit Kat, Whoppers and Snickers.
There was also a
map with the percentage of people favoring candy corn per state. I love candy corn
and the average for Ohio was 6 percent above the national average.
How was your
Halloween weekend? What is your favorite candy? Do you like Candy Corn?
I'm definitely with the rest of Ohio, I love Reese's, but Snickers are a very close second. I'm glad you had a good Halloween weekend!
