Every season is a reason to set goals and get out of the house to enjoy the nature around you. The season of fall is no exception. With COVID-19 taking away a traditional fall last year, my mission is to create a bucket list for my boyfriend Zach and me to complete. On our list is the following; Watch an Ada sunset, picnic, stargaze on the tundra or football field, find a small store/ mall, find a new antique mall, paint night, get tickets for Beauty and the Beast, Go to Seuters pumpkin patch and carve a pumpkin, make our own pizza night, ONU fall football games, indoor movie night, drive-in movie, bowling alley, Lulus for breakfast, DIY caramel apples, dinner at the Inn, build a fort, fall photoshoot and pull a fun all-nighter. We will take a selfie during each bucket list item, so after we have done everything, we can create a scrapbook or a digital book with all the memories in one location.
When you and your friends create a bucket list for the
fall, I suggest you start researching ideas and take it from there. In my
research, I chose to look at a Homes and Gardens Magazine article written by
Emily VanSchmus. In the article, Vanschmus suggested:
“Go to a pumpkin
patch, drink a pumpkin spice latte, bake pumpkin bread, roast marshmallows, eat
a caramel apple, donate the summer clothes you never wore, pick apples, plant
spring bulbs, carve a pumpkin, go on a nature walk, make your Halloween costume,
decorate a pumpkin, make a fall craft, jump in a pile of leaves, bake apple pie,
decorate with fall colors, burn your favorite fall candle, drink warm apple cider,
roast pumpkin seeds, make a blanket scarf, help a neighbor rake leaves, plan your
Thanksgiving Menu, learn to knit, make chili.”
Researching will help spark ideas you may have not even
considered. Another opportunity for ideas is to look around where you live. It
can be fun being a tourist in your city or village.
There is no perfect bucket list. Have any other fall bucket
list suggestions, comment them below! When you begin creating your bucket list,
remember to have fun and enjoy the season.
